My eyes shed ever flowing tears.
I see hell and abode in hell
I hear millions of cries
I wake up every morning noticing the red colour of our rivers
Massacre has been the order of our living
Oh! Africa why art thou cruel to its inhabitants.
Alas! My grieves must be put to words
Aren’t this leaders tired of raping our financial home.
Must they cause us more doom
Where is the john the Baptist that will pave way for boom
Our day has become a dark night
And our night sad death
Its our leaders that began the heartless fire and our politicians fuelled it.
Oh! Africa,we sleep while standing
Hunger and malnutrition crucify a million souls
Didn’t you see the children in the homestead
Did you not see the crown of thorns on their head.
Dint you notice their home was oxiamenia.
This Africa is hell…aha!
My tears are green
My hopes are white
I live in black land
Am a typical negro from a negress
I am an African.
