No, you don’t necessarily need any formal education background, you just need to have a strong artistic background, with some creativity and a Little sense of humor. Basically, doing caricatures is intuitive.
Q4 How do you cope with your academic activities and making carricature designs.
To be honest, it hasn’t been easy. Being a student is one thing and being an architecture student is another. Sometimes you’ll be caught up between completing a school project and a client’s art, then tough decisions are made which ends up turning your night into day. But I try as much as possible to maintain balance in both endeavors at all times.
Q5 Do you have carricature designs of politicians too?
Well, I’m not really into political caricatures, but I did a caricature of President Muhammadu Buhari sometime in 2017 and I’d consider making more caricature paintings of other politicians subsequently.
Q6 Have you ever been nabbed by anyone you made carricature of?
Lol. No. My caricatures create humor and not hatred. Cos I make them with so much ingredients which includes love.
Q7 Tell us more about caricature Designs, it seem to be rare in Nigeria!
Caricature is an art of representing a character with exaggerated features in order create humor.
Over the years the art of caricature has been used to criticize corrupt leaders in the most funny way, while in recent times we use caricature as a form of entertainment and comedy, and to criticize corrupt leaders as well. I see caricatures as poetry in colours, because they have a lot in common.

I started drawing caricatures with pen and pencil in 2016 after a minor surgery, then started painting them digitally in 2017.
Q9 Do you have platform where you Teach people About this?
I don’t at the moment, but I’d create one as soon as possible. I’d let the word out once everything is in place

No one would do that. Considering the nature of the country, having multiple streams of income isn’t a bad idea. So you can learn caricature while doing other stuffs too. That’s the way forward.
Q11 How is the market response to caricature designs?
Well the market response for art in general in Nigeria is not quite impressive, but caricature art is doing well and we hope for the best.

Yes I design in any size from miniature to large, both on demand and for sale.

Nigerians are really amazing, then some countries like Tanzania, south Africa, The United States and The United Kingdom.
Q16 Aside caricature design and Academic activities, what else do you do at leisure?
When I’m not doing school or commissioned works, I practice, cos that’s the only way to improve my skills. Also I think I love to sing and so I sing a lot, leisure or no leisure. Then sometimes I see movies or play chess.
