“I knew I won’t spend time with my Family the moment I joined Chelsea,” Chelsea Star on Christmas

Chelsea star has revealed that he understood what the prospects of joining the club are before he signed for the Blues.

Veteran Brazilian defender Thiago Silva is experiencing his first Christmas in London having joined Chelsea during the last transfer window.

The club’s official website had an exclusive interview with the 36-year-old where he shed light on the difference in spending the holidays in England and back at home in Brazil.

When asked what Christmas was like in Brazil, he said that it was a period that Brazilians shared with their families. He added that members of family usually gather together and party.

He lamented that this Christmas was the first that he didn’t spend with his parents and family but he admitted that he knew what he was getting into before signing for Chelsea.

“The moment I signed with Chelsea, I knew I could not spend Christmas with them,” He told Chelsea website.

Thiago Silva is expected to be in action when Chelsea go against Arsenal later today.
