After yesterday’s social media post by the screen idol, Funde Akindele, wherein, she said she prays ‘I get over this…I’m broken’, there obviously seems to be more frustration for her to handle from now on. You may recall that she hosted a birthday party for her husband in Amen Estate, Lekki, Lagos last Saturday but sadly, the soiree was staged amid COVID-19 crisis bedeviling the nation.
Understandably so, Funke Akindele was arrested by the Lagos State Police CID, Yaba, hours after the video went viral on the social media, but both her husband and Naira Marley who graced the gig escaped.
The party which had in attendance a good number of the actress’ cast and crew of different movie projects including famous singer, Naira Marley, were seen in the video parting really hard against the law of the land which prohibits social gathering and ordered social distancing for two weeks so as to fight the spread of the ravaging Coronavirus.
The actress, who, incidentally campaigns for the restriction order and also prides as Dettol brand ambassador is understandably devastated and had offered public apology to the public where she narrated that she didn’t flout the government order by will but had to go on with the party with only those the order met on the set of one of her projects.
The authorities may just have heeded the request of many members of the public who condemned Akindele’s indiscretion and demanded that she should be made a scapegoat before she released a video ostensibly to calm frayed nerves
