We saw matches that went down in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers yesterday as the Group stage fixtures continued.

Egypt won Togo 3-1 as they topped the Group G table, Togo who are yet to record a win in this competition surrended three goals to Egypt and scored a consolation goal in the second half, Mohamed Kafsha, Mohamed Shariff and Trezeguet scored for Egypt as they secured a win and grabbed three points.

Morocco defeated Central African Republic as they lead the Group E table, Hakim Ziyech was magical in yesterday’s match aspect he scored the opening goal for Morocco in the first half of the match and provided an assist for Youssef En-Nesyri to score the second, he was awarded the man of the match.

Angola lost 1-0 to DR Congo as DR Congo closed in on the Group D table, Neeskens Kebano gave DR Congo the lead in the first half of the match and they held on to their lead till the match ended.


Sudan defeated Ghana 1-0 in yesterday’s fixture as Ghana hadn’t their first lose in the competition, it was a outstanding display of football from Sudan as Mohamed Rahman scored the only goal of the match.

Mali defeated Namibia 2-1 as they top the Group A table, it was a big win for Mali as Sekou Koita opened the scoring for the visitors, Moussa Doumbia doubled their lead in the first half of the match and Elmo Kambindu scored a consolation goal for Namibia.

Nigeria had a dissapointing 0-0 draw as they face serria leone in the second leg of the round, in the first leg both teams drew 4-4 after serria leone made a dramatic comeback to share the points. Nigeria still lead the Group L table, Serria leone are yet to record a win in this competition.

Benin Republic and Lesotho also had a disappointing goalless draw after poor performance, Benin Republic falls in second place behind Nigeria in the Group L table.
